Solarwatt, gegründet 1993, zählt zu den europäischen Marktführern bei Glas-Glas-Modulen und zu einem der größten Stromspeicher-Anbieter. Das in Dresden ansässige Unternehmen beliefert über mehrere Auslandsniederlassungen hauptsächlich den europäischen und australischen PV-Markt.

2013 erfolgte durch den Einstieg der Familie Quandt eine wirtschaftliche Neuausrichtung.

Schwerpunkte von Solarwatt sind die Fertigung von Glas-Glas-Modulen und  - in Zusammenarbeit mit BMW – Heimspeichersysteme.​
